Gloria Storer joined the Sacramento Affiliate in October, 2006, as Communications and Advocacy Coordinator. In this position, she coordinates all areas of our Communications program and public policy and legislative issues. Areas of focus will be bi-yearly newsletters, Affiliate website updates and all media coordination and contact, as well as planning the annual Komen Sacramento Lobby Days and spreading the Komen legislative concerns with the public. With over 15 years experience in Marketing, Advertising, Direct Mail and Publishing, Storer is excited to be part of the Komen team, and educating the public through such important work. As a three-year breast cancer survivor, Storer feels "It's crucial for people to know that a cure for breast cancer can be achieved through early detection, education and treatment."

Storer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Journalism from California State University, Northridge. When not working, Storer tries to fit in family time, reading, cooking and enjoying the Sierras.
