Trecia Nienow is a native of Sacramento and was elected to the Komen Sacramento Affiliate Board in July, 2006 and currently chairs the Grants Committee. Trecia became active in the fight against breast cancer after she was diagnosed in 2004.

Trecia holds a bachelor's degree in business administration (accounting), a juris doctor in law and a master of laws in taxation. She practices law in Sacramento and currently works for the California Board of Equalization as a Senior Tax Counsel. Previously, Ms. Nienow worked in-house as corporate and regulatory counsel to several large insurers. In addition to serving on the Board, Trecia is a member of the International Chili Society and cooks chili and salsa in world competitions.
